Orca cub rescued by fishermen from Magadan

According to RIA FederalPress, on the morning of July 29, the killer whale was entangled in the net of the fishing team that hunted in the Nyuklinskaya Spit. This event was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies in the Magadan Region.

They managed to save the young swimmer in the net by only combining the efforts of the fishermen themselves and the efforts of the employees of the Emergency Situations Task Force.

The killer whales were helped to get out of the nets.

It should be noted that it was not easy to save the baby, because its powerful parents swam nearby, who did not cost anything to approach and deal with the rescuers if they felt that they were some kind of danger to their baby. However, in spite of their presence, the little koschatka managed to be towed to a closer distance to the shore, where people felt already safe, and they used it to remove the fetters from the cub.

It should be noted that this case is a good example of how those fishermen who do not consider their fishing an occasion for thoughtless destruction of the environment should behave. It is no secret that those animals that are not intended for catch, or even are rare or endangered, often fall into fishing nets. And in most cases, no one cares about such animals, as a result of which they die, and their bodies are simply thrown back into the water. Thus, hundreds of millions of marine inhabitants die annually. The example of the Magadan fishermen clearly shows that fishing and predatory, indifferent attitude to nature are not synonyms at all.
